Smell of Thailand

So this is what it looks like when four lucky souls are deserted nine weeks on a lush, tropical island out in the South China sea. Koh Phangan – Thong Nai Pan Noi. Lazy days, making new friends, a pretty villa in the jungle, a dash of luxury with the sounds and colours, the warmth, the complete tastes and smells of the Thai kitchen, steamed jasmine rice, crispy grilled fresh fish, vegetables in magical sauces, sunrises right outside our window, the fresh smelling air after a tropical shower, the wind blowing gently in the coconut trees, bananas and papayas for breakfast from the garden.

Life is breezing by, some days we forget how lucky we are, taking the beauty and peace for granted before we realize our moments, our nows. Quality time has a new meaning. I am feeling lucky to be healthy, have this opportunity to collect moments with my sweet, little family.
I feel proud and priviliged to get to know my childrens natural rythm of a day, watch them rest at night.

After nine weeks in this sleepy, generous, happy, tiny village we are ready for different smells, more sound, tastes of another asian kitchen, architectural history, new stories, new people
